// router overview
Swisscom routers, branded as Internet-Box, use a custom web interface accessible via a local hostname or private IP. The admin login requires a username but no default password is set by the manufacturer. Configuration focuses on ISP-managed settings with limited user customization.

Unlike consumer routers, Swisscom's Internet-Box devices emphasize ISP control over user customization. The web interface is streamlined for basic settings while advanced configurations are handled by Swisscom technicians. This differs from brands like TP-Link or Netgear that offer full user access to all router features.
